Don’t buy this book if: Return to Book Page. First released in November,the amazing success of the book required nine reprints, and the book has been translated into five foreign languages. Yet he goes well beyond the technical, as he delves deeply into the philosophical, expressive, and creative aspects of photography so often avoided in other books. I found that even these parts as well as the the “digital” sections give all of us food for thought.

Style is personal, but barnbaumm and concepts may be widely applied. I feel many “modern” read “digital” photographers would get bored with a large portion of this book.
I read as much as I could and had to give up. Illustrations note Illustrations some col. It was originally photographhy in – so the book is largely oriented around film photography – but it is completely relevant for digital photography.
