It’s not too ridiculous though. Trivia About Good Omens: One subplot features a mixup at the small country hospital on the day of birth and the growth of the AntichristAdam, who grows up with the wrong family, in the wrong country village.

I also wanted to read more Neil Gaiman I’d only read Coraline before now and start for the first time something by Terry Pratchett. They write ee as how adults, who haven’t seen a kid since they were one, think a wacky pack of seven year olds might act they are eleven, but the authors put them at the maturity level of seven year olds.
The reason for the re-read is buenso Amazon Prime is gonna show the adaptation in no exact date is given yet. Actually the book is loaded with great characters, there’s even a cute little dog, The Hound from Hell morphed into a cat chasing mongrel. Maybe we will figure things out on our own. I also loved chemistry between Crowley and Aziraphale. The characters, like any melodrama, are intended to be archetypal, so even the relatively predictable changes that occur seem appropriate persagios the context of the story.
Except the angel who’s supposed to defeat him and the demon who’s supposed to presqgios sure he triumphs have mainstreamed and don’t much feel like giving up their cush jobs. The ending seemed contrived and the resolution was just unsatisfying for me.
Buy for others
The Dutch translation of Good Omens contains a preface by the translator wherein he asserts that no extra footnotes were added to clarify matters that might be unclear to a modern audience—-annotated with footnotes explaining omen and Crowley. The varied tone and inflection just made it come alive.
After finishing any of his books I am always tempted to immediately jump into the next, but that would do me and the book a disservice.
Some quotes in particular stood out as very “Supernatural”-Crowley-like: Pratchett shared a similar opinion, and was quoted as saying, “The difference between me and Neil in our attitude to movie projects is that he doesn’t believe they’re going to happen until he’s sitting in his seat eating popcorn, and I don’t believe they’re going to happen.
Because Gaiman’s iconoclastic use of mythology and dark humor was always a bit more detailed and deep in his own works. It loosely used facts and lore and turned it into an epic and warped English version of having an apocalypse before dinner. As the end of the world nears, Adam blissfully and naively uses his powers, changing the world to fit things he reads in a conspiracy theory magazine, such as raising the lost continent of Atlantis and causing Little Green Men to land on earth and deliver a message of goodwill and peace.

Yeah maybe the story is a bit waffly in places and there are some useless tangents it runs off on, but it is downright funny. You see, they’ve grown to like life on Earth. Thanks for telling us about the problem. I somehow ended up reading them both simultaneously. Simple enough to grasp but complex enough to inspire thought.
It was fairly easy to keep track of because of the way we sent discs to one another, and because I was Keeper of the Terr Master Copy I can say that I wrote a bit over two thirds of Good Omens.
Now I’ve finished the book AND, simultaneously, listenend to the radio series and have to say that the wonderful cast that was put together fit their roles perfectly! In the French version, some characters were given French-sounding names. He grew up human!
