Lately I feel like I sound like a broken record when trying to leeah a review for books I have read. I saw this books many times and kept coming back to it, and finally purchased it, and I am sooooo glad I did. Unfortunately, those few good moments were not nearly enough to overlook everything else. Joie takes care of the money, the driving and all the organising of the trip.
View all 3 comments. The characters in this book are out of high school so the situations are definitely a bit older than the average YA contemporary. Who doesn’t love a guy who stands up for his girl?
With a stalker on the rise, and the threats getting worse, can Joie escape unscathed? When these two finally quit the bantering and gave in to their feelings, I felt like I could breathe easier and all was right in the world. Goodreads helps you keep track of books you want to read.
Foolish Games Series
Then the more Ffoolish read, I start to really loathe her. I couldn’t put it down!!! Sep 25, Becky rated it it was amazing Shelves: May 08, Caity rated it it was ok. I loved the bantering between Joie and Hawkins, it kept me glued to the pages early on in the story. The vulnerable rock star with a huge chip on his shoulder.
Lacked suspense in certain parts and at times became tedious and somewhat boring. On paper, this book is everything I hate. I might have been able to come to terms with it and give the book a higher rating that the romance itself deservesif it weren’t for the grand finale.
The ending was great. Mediocre, when compared to Foolish Games, and it breaks my heart to say that, because Foolish Games was so, so good. Hopefully a book 3, fingers crossed: So grab this book people and start reading it! Because lately I’ve been crying in a lot of the books I’m reading, and I cried in this one too!! Other books in the series. Yeah, ok it’s official I’ve definitely gushed enough about this one. I love how Spiegel writes a book that has it all. I loved the suspense mixed in with the romance.
Overall, I loved this book, as I think I have mentioned on here a few times before: Hawkins was a famous rock star, lead singer for The Grimm Brother’s band, who was dealing with loss and writer’s block.
She must avoid letting her mother know what she is up to, keep one friend from jumping from one frying pan into another while helping the other hook up with the love of his life and all th Joie is a high school graduate that recently lost her father and ends up reluctantly trailing after a rock and roll band with her best friends only to find love in a very unexpected way.
Based on the cover, I thought it was a typical teen love story. Joie has great taste. Then there is news of a bombing at a venue The Grimm Brothers were suppose to play at but had cancelled.
I don’t know how many times I was reading After everything Joie, Riley and Lizzie had been through spiwgel the fi Lately I feel like I sound like a broken record when trying to write a review for books I have read. No trivia or quizzes yet. Once again another thrilling chase against time an romantic troubles for the pair.
While Joie was away and hurting Hawkins folish with his concerts and still had his ex close. Anyway, Foolish Games had cute, funny moments, but it was just not a stellar read.
I am not sure why in the end Gwyneth looked like a hero when it was all her fault everything happened anyway. Foolish Games is incredibly keah. This is one of my top 5 favorite books! He was grounded almost humbled. My favorite scene with these two was their picnic in the meadow.
Foolish Games (Foolish Games, #1) by Leah Spiegel
Even more unbelievable than the first one but I had to read it to find out more about the characters I loved from the first book. The books starts as a fun, light hearted romance but it has suspense in it too, like when the stalker of the band strikes.
Riley has been hired to write blog reviews of the band’s shows. Hawkins and Joie’s sexual tensions are as hot as ever. It really brought Joie and Hawkins together as they realized they could lose each-other.
