HP is a cubic-grain black-and-white film from Ilford Photo with a long history. In both cases, the film performs excellently with the camera. When I started using it, it was slightly more expensive than Tri-X, since it was imported.

There was not a lot of light in the gymnasium. I strongly recommend working with Lomography on getting it developed.
With the exception of a single dark strip across one negative which may well have been my error while developing this film is beautiful.

I metered for the petals of the lily at EI and developed the film for a little over a 1. H5 I have a clipping with a letter to the editor complaining that if Ilford really went ahead with discontinuing HP3, it would mean the end of photography as we know it. Rated 5 out of 5 by JamesInNewYork from Great film from a great company I bought this film for the first time in February to shoot a basketball game at ilcord. Its more forgiving of my sloppy lighting. Either way, this film is quite good for the price. I cannot believe that people still try to fool everyone that they are alike. It’s also very new-user friendly coming with a pitch black film canister to hold it when not in a camera as well as development instructions inside the box.
The film is also available in medium format, although not in or pro-pack offerings. But I make wet prints in a darkroom.

This item is one exposure roll of 35mm film and is supplied in a DX-coded cassette. I would recommend this film to anyone wanting a fast ilfotd film with very fine grain, shooting in low light, or general artistic photography.
