It was time for a reread. The story was wonderfully told, and even though there were times I wanted to smack the hero or shake the heroine, they always came back around and had me reading with tears in my eyes.
Around the Year i I was new to the world of historical romance, my high school English teacher having loaned me her copy of Ashes in the Wind a year or so before. Do you not know the Black Lion eats three girls such as you each day afore dinner? Soon I got sidetracked by other books and completely forgot the name of the book. There was also a little less steam than I remembered. After the our stupid hero do the stupid thing ever and rescued the shrew women then story is more excited: Loved it- it was my kind of thing, fast moving, strong characters, alpha male, passionate love, jealousy that tears them apart, a perfect match.
