Regulating the voltage to “exactly” 5volt under various loads, sure. I don’t actually require LDO but 2v is low enough for my modest needs.

I agree, it may be a measurement issue. I’ve been using the hoary old LM for decades.
I have an L7805acb and a 3D engraver. Always write it 0. It is easy to miss the decimal point without a leading zero. Most of them its jumping between 4. That high frequency blows straight through a slow device like that.

But for HF ripple removal use capacitors LC circuits and ferrite beads. I assume the output one is ceramic.
Or there are some noisy digital loads and insufficient bypassing. I’ve been looking at a load of youtube videos. Are they required and if so what daatasheet for least possible ripple?
