I just picked up her third book, Black Out, which is not a continuation of the first two, and am looking forward to reading it. Lisa Unger lives in the Tampa Bay area of Florida with her husband, daughter and labradoodle. Indeed Ridley’s inquiring mind and need to find answers is key to the quality of this novel. There was much too much examination truuth her feelings and much too much putting herself into dangerous situations through stupidity.

A few paragraphs later, she writes to the reader paraphrasing “I bet you wonder how I got here. No one at the FBI knew he was working in the field on this case. It is told with mystery and intrigue and some ilsa things that you discover about Ridley Jones, unged would leave your breathless.

All the loose ends will not come together In a satisfying ending. Ghosts and hauntings are recurrent themes in Sliver of Truth.

You really needed to read the first book to fully understand the second, so her lisaa tracking, and at one point blantantly repeating word for word a few pages of the first book, was annoying. Were you surprised to discover what his real identity actually if Best scene in story: The protagonist is hilarious in her over-wrought telling of her story, although I’m sure that is unintentional. The only thing Ridley knows for sure is that she has to get to the truth about herself and her past if she is ever going to find her way home.


Set up a giveaway. I absolutely loved Beautiful Lies. She does not give a flip about her birth mother at all, which is strange.

She also had the recovery powers of Wonder Woman. Not only are there more secrets and lies but one, in particular, sure is a surprise.

For example, the ridiculous love scenes that materialize out of the blue at the most implausible of moments. The first story was better, don’t think it needed to be a second book.

Kisa acts as if the reader actually finds her fascinating and really cares about her every thought.
